Henry Burchard Fine Character Analysis

Fine was Woodrow Wilson’s best friend, a mathematician and a former dean of science at Princeton in the early 20th century who helped to recruit top-tier mathematicians and scientists for the university, transforming it into a research powerhouse. Fine Hall, the math building in which John Nash spent most of his time as a graduate student (and later, as the “Phantom of Fine Hall”), was named for Henry Burchard Fine.
