Dr. Hovaugh Character Analysis

Dr. Hovaugh is a doctor at a psychiatric hospital in the United States where four Indians (Lone Ranger, Hawkeye, Ishmael, and Robinson Crusoe) go missing one day. Together with fellow hospital employee Babo, Dr. Hovaugh goes off in search of the missing Indians. Although Dr. Hovaugh himself is sympathetic to the cause of the missing Indians, his storyline represents how the government and even the medical system have been used to oppress Indians and restrict their free movement.
