Broderick Bode Character Analysis

A Ministry employee who worked in the Department of Mysteries. He ends up in St. Mungo's hospital and is there in a long-term ward when Mr. Weasley is hospitalized over Christmas. He cannot speak about why he's there but shows signs of recovery. Before he recovers, however, he dies—and Hermione believes he was murdered. Someone anonymously sent him a cutting of the dangerous plant Devil's Snare, and it strangled him. Harry later works out that Bode attempted to remove a prophecy, which a person cannot do unless they're named in the prophecy, and this is why Bode ended up in St. Mungo's.
