Ivy Day is an annual commemoration of the late Irish Nationalist leader Charles Stewart Parnell who nearly emancipated Ireland from English rule. Held on October 6th, the anniversary of Parnell’s death, it is meant to be a day of honoring Parnell and his legacy.
