Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) Term Analysis

Acute myeloid leukemia is a blood and bone marrow cancer. It is the cancer that Kate’s boyfriend, Taylor, is in remission from when the two meet. Prognoses for AML can vary wildly, but Taylor is said to have a good outlook and is unlikely to relapse. My Sister’s Keeper portrays AML as a distinct cancer from Kate’s cancer, APL, but the latter is actually a subtype of the former.
