A player on the Under Thirteens team, Idwar is Robin’s older brother and Shamsoun’s younger brother. The Dikoris are from the Nuba valley of Sudan, where they had been driven out by an Islamist regime. They are forced to escape to Cairo before being resettled in Clarkston. They face even further tragedy when, shortly after arriving in America, their mother and sisters are killed in a car accident. This causes Idwar to be silent and retreat into himself, but the Fugees program gives him more confidence and provides him with a way to not think about what had happened.
