Peace Character Analysis

Peace is one of the four daughters of God, alongside her sisters, Mercy, Righteousness, and Truth. Peace is hopeful for the fate of mankind, echoing her sister Mercy’s belief that Christ’s death means that humanity will be saved, and the prophets and patriarchs will be rescued from Hell. At the end of the poem, Peace is the gatekeeper of Unity, and is clearly suspicious of Friar Flatterer.
