Molly’s Father Character Analysis

Much like Molly’s mother, Molly’s father only appears in the story when he is trying to prevent Molly and Charlie from continuing their romance. Molly’s parents despise Charlie because of the spiteful things the Colonel has said about the boy, and Molly’s father even threatens to shoot Charlie if he ever sees him around his daughter. He is very strict and eventually throws his daughter out of the house when she becomes pregnant.
