Deng Yi-yi (Pauper) Character Analysis

Deng Yi-yi is a classmate of Ji-li, An Yi, Du Hai, Yang Fan, Yin Lan-lan, and Zhang Jie in elementary school. She comes from a poor family. Deng Yi-yi reconnects with An Yi and Ji-li briefly in junior high school. The other children derisively call her “Pauper” because of her family’s poverty, and doing so unthinkingly gets Ji-li into trouble with the Red Successors.
