Stephen King

Davie “Lard Ass” Hogan is the protagonist of Gordie’s short story “The Revenge of Lard Ass Hogan.” Teased and belittled for his large size, Lard Ass enters his town’s annual pie-eating contest to exact his revenge. Before the contest begins, he drinks an entire bottle of castor oil, which makes him ill. He then projectile vomits in the face of the reigning champion, Bill Travis, setting off a chain reaction of vomiting that engulfs the crowd.
