Steffa was an elderly man in Edwin’s home village. He was the one who first told Edwin that he had the spirit of a warrior and encouraged him to train as a soldier from the time he was very young. As Edwin and Wistan travel together, Edwin frequently thinks about Steffa and how he encouraged Edwin to believe in himself for so many years.
