A golden, gem-studded staff owned by the Russsian monarchy since its creation in 1774. Set inside the Russian Imperial Scepter is the infamous Orlov diamond, which was stolen from India by a French soldier in 1747. Collins claims this diamond, along with the Koh-i-Noor, as inspiration for the Moonstone—in fact, the Orlov diamond was also set in the head of a statue of a god in a Hindu temple.
