Old Randall Character Analysis

Old Randall is the father of James and Terrance and the former owner of Randall plantation. He was more popular within the local white community than either of his sons, who Ridgeway believes were corrupted by being born to so much money. He is already dead by the time most of the novel’s action takes place.
