Frank Character Analysis

A friend of Dock’s, Frank lives in Grand Manan, where the crew stops before they finally set off across the ocean towards Bompie. Frank irritates Sophie when he assumes that, because she’s a girl, she must be the one who does all the cooking on The Wanderer. Frank takes the crew of The Wanderer clamming, and also to his grandson’s baptism, which freaks Sophie out—seeing the people being baptized—getting dunked in the water—greatly discomforts her.
