Nutmeg
Cinnamon is Nutmeg’s mute son. Although Cinnamon used to talk, he went mute after his father (Nutmeg’s husband) was murdered. Like many characters in the novel, Cinnamon has spiritual abilities, which connect him to the dream world. He works alongside his mother at her company and keeps a file full of stories titled “The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle” on his computer.
