Outcasts United

by

Warren St. John

A Liberian player on the Under Fifteens team. Because Prince is talented, Luma sometimes allows him to skirt the rules, letting him arrive late or skip tutoring sessions. But when this spurs other players to undermine her as well, Luma refuses to grant Prince an exception to her rules that he must cut his hair shorter than Luma’s. Prince is frustrated and decides to quit the team rather than adhere to Luma’s rules.
