Menus Jury is the son of Harper Jury and one of the nine men who attack the Convent. He is a Vietnam War veteran who struggles with alcoholism. Some characters suspect that his depression and anger issues stem not from the war, but from the fact that he broke up with the love of his life because the town did not approve of her light skin. The Convent women once helped him get sober, but he soon fell back into alcoholism.
