Zakir Mian’s son. Once the region of Gujarat has calmed down after the massacre, he goes to see if he can find out what happened to Anjum and his father. He never finds his father but does hear that he has been murdered in the massacre. Eventually, though, he does find Anjum in a refugee camp, dressed in men’s clothes and in the men’s section. He is the one to bring her back to the Khwabgah.
