The Widow Maung is Jiang’s drug dealer. She also works as a butcher in Sinegard’s meatpacking district, and she allows Rin to carry a pig up a mountain to drink from a stream every day. She’s a brisk and no-nonsense woman, and though she humors Jiang (the pig is his idea), she also clearly finds him unhinged.
