The Sculptor’s Funeral

Roxy is the Merrick’s servant that Mrs. Merrick abuses in the kitchen during the funeral. As she is one of the only characters displaying genuine emotion over Harvey’s death, Steavens feels most comfortable standing next to the person he probably has the least in common with in the room. Her gentle, maternal description exists in stark contrast to Mrs. Merrick’s dramatic, overbearing one.
