Faustino Higueras is the brother of Anacleta Higueras. In the past, he fought with Don Anastasio Zamora, the father of Nacho (narrator of Around an empty grave). Although Faustino supposedly died during this fight, his grave is empty, and he seems to come back to fight the narrator in a twist that isn’t explained before the story fragment ends.
