In the Dream House: 47. Dream House as Creature Feature Summary & Analysis

Summary
Analysis
In her time in the Dream House, Machado goes into the basement only once, to do the laundry. She discovers it’s filled with huge spiders and runs back upstairs, begging the woman from the Dream House to do the laundry instead.
This moment suggests that Machado doesn’t feel completely at home in the Dream House—there’s a lurking danger here, though it’s one she can generally ignore, at least at first.
