Christine Daniels/Mike Penner Character Analysis

A trans woman who lived most of her life as a man by the name of Mike Penner. Penner was a veteran sports journalist at the Los Angeles Times when he announced that he was a transgender woman, rechristening himself as Christine Daniels. Unfortunately, Christine’s transition was openly mocked by other journalists and she became extremely depressed, to the point where she reverted to her male identity and commited suicide.
