In “Harlem Jones,” Lloyd is Harlem Jones’s brother. He’s in prison for beating his girlfriend, a fact that Harlem’s mum can’t bring herself to accept—so she lies and tells people he’s working with relatives back in Trinidad. Though Harlem condemns the Metropolitan Police’s mistreatment of Black people, he admits that Lloyd deserves to see justice for what he did to his girlfriend.
