The Woman of Shamlegh is the leader of the small mountain-village Shamlegh. A proud and confident woman, she makes romantic advances on Kim during his stay in the village. Despite Kim’s rejection of her, however, she does not rescind her hospitality, giving Kim and the lama supplies and transportation for their journey out of the mountain.
