Shevket Character Analysis

Shevket is the oldest son of Shekure, and is seven years old when the story takes place. Shevket is stubborn and rebellious, often causing trouble for his mother. He dislikes Black based on the unfounded belief that Black killed his father, and he (unsuccessfully) tries to get his family to move back to Hasan’s house.
