Lieutenant Parsons Character Analysis

A lieutenant in E Company, 2nd Battalion who is killed two nights after Lieutenant Frank Reasoner by one of the marines’ own 4.2-inch mortar shells. The shell falls on his platoon while he is briefing them in the “rear area” base camp. Parsons’s legs are “scythed off at the hip” as a result.
