Robert Foster is Kya’s editor, who helps her publish seven books about wildlife in the North Carolina swamplands. Robert is also an important witness in Kya’s trial, since he testifies that he was with her in Greenville on the night that Chase Andrews died, since he invited her there because he wanted to meet the gifted author with whom he’d been corresponding for the past year or so.
