Minnie Character Analysis

Minnie is an Aboriginal Australian woman who has been in a relationship with Harada for 20 years. When Australian officials start rounding up Japanese immigrants and taking them to internment camps, Minnie urges Harada to flee. Because he wants to be with her as long as possible, though, Harada refuses to leave Australia. Harada's refusal to flee exasperates Minnie.
