White Australia Policy Term Analysis

The White Australia policy comprised various pieces of legislation specifically meant to prevent non-white people from emigrating to Australia. The legislation was largely passed in the late 19th and early 20th century and was especially aimed at barring Asian emigrants, particularly the Immigration Restriction Act of 1901. The legislation was dismantled in the mid-20th century.
