Sofia Petrovna

by

Lydia Chukovskaya

The nurse is one of the tenants living in the same communal apartment as Sofia Petrovna. She’s outwardly hostile toward Sofia in the aftermath of Kolya’s arrest, claiming that Sofia can’t be trusted because she’s related to a criminal. Her harsh viewpoint keeps Sofia from spending time in the communal spaces of the apartment, instead hiding alone in her room as much as possible.
