Analysis
Back at Sarah’s house, Woolly and Duchess prepare dinner while Billy grows anxious about how long Emmett has been gone. The phone rings, and Woolly answers it, hoping to hear from Emmett, but the person on the other line is Woolly’s eldest sister, Kaitlin, who is displeased to hear his voice. He quickly hangs up. The doorbell rings, and all three boys hurry to answer it.
Despite being escaped convicts, Woolly and Duchess are not being particularly careful. They have had run-ins with the police, Duchess has met with Fitzy, and now both of Woolly’s sisters know that he is out of Salina. This carelessness speaks to their shared immaturity.
