Teachers and parents! Our Teacher Edition on About a Boy makes teaching easy.
Suzie, an attractive single mum of two, is one of Fiona’s close friends and one of Will’s potential love interests. She meets Will at a SPAT meeting and provides him with all the information about other members, their exes, and their children, all the while falling for Will’s single father charade. Suzie is most significant for introducing protagonists Will and Marcus at the SPAT picnic. Her love for the Brewers is evident; she comes to Fiona’s aid in the immediate aftermath of her suicide attempt, and she helps Marcus and Fiona tremendously in the wake of Fiona’s hospital stay. Though initially quite angry with Will for lying about having a child, she eventually forgives him, especially once she sees his genuine investment in Marcus’s and Fiona’s wellbeing.
