Woyzeck: Scene 13 Summary & Analysis

Summary
Analysis
Woyzeck is alone in a field when he hears music and talking coming from the ground. He drops to the ground and presses his ear against it to better hear the voices. “Stab the wolf dead,” he hears them say.
Woyzeck’s mental state deteriorates rapidly. It’s plausible that the doctor’s experiments, which have taken a toll on Woyzeck’s physical health, contribute to Woyzeck’s rapid decline.
