Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vosch Character Analysis

The antagonist of the novel, Vosch is an army commander who oversees the massacre at a refugee camp where Cassie is staying, including shooting Cassie’s dad in the head. Although he sometimes pretends to be sympathetic when talking to new recruits like Ben, he is ultimately ruthless and willing to do whatever it takes to exterminate humanity. This is because he’s actually the alien who orchestrated the whole plan to destroy humans in waves. Vosch represents pure evil and how warfare is often about destroying humanity.
