Firas Character Analysis

Firas is the son of Dahab and Mustafa, the brother of Aya, and the cousin of Nuri, Afra, and Sami. In Syria, he is a typical teenage boy, preoccupied with computer games and his phone to his father’s irritation. Firas goes missing before he and his father are to leave for England. He later washes up in the river, having been shot in the head. His death fills Mustafa with guilt and regret.
