Shri Ganesha Character Analysis

Shri Ganesha operates the ashram where Larry lives for two years in Travancore, India. Larry says that Shri Ganesha teaches by being a model of what Larry calls “saintliness” rather than through direct instruction. Larry vows to stay at the ashram until Shri Ganesha dies or until he (Larry) achieves enlightenment. Two years after arriving at the ashram, Larry experiences a moment of spiritual illumination and leaves shortly thereafter.
