Fever Pitch: Chapter 65 Summary & Analysis

Summary
Analysis
Nick now lives in North London, where he’s always dreamed of living. He is within walking distance of Highbury, Arsenal’s stadium. However, no one in his neighborhood supports Arsenal anymore, as the demographics have changed since Nick was a kid. Now, all the Arsenal supporters live in the Home Counties.
Nick is from the Home Counties, which are the affluent suburbs around London. As a child, he wished he was from North London, which was crime and poverty stricken at the time. It’s ironic that after years of trying to take on an identity more aligned to a typical Arsenal fan, by the time Nick finally moves to North London, it is gentrified.
