Alois Character Analysis

Alois is Martin’s cousin Sekai’s husband. He works in a bank, and when Martin goes to visit him, Martin sees a level of success that he hasn’t encountered before in Zimbabwe. Alois inspires Martin to try to seek out a better life for himself. Though Alois isn’t wealthy enough to pay for Martin’s full education, he does help with a down payment when Martin gets accepted to a prestigious boarding school and needs the money quickly.
